Jerakah Greene

Editor in Chief

Jerakah Greene is a nonbinary lesbian from Tulsa, Oklahoma. They are soon to graduate from the Creative Writing program at Columbia College Chicago, where they study fiction, literature, and gender studies. They have published fiction in The Lab Review, and a review and interview in Hair Trigger 2.0, where they were the reviews editor in the fall of 2018. They were also a production editor on the last print edition of Hair Trigger (41). When they are not writing intensively about the queer experience, they can be found baking blueberry pies and hiding from tornadoes.

Julia Greene

Editor

Julia Greene is a second-year student at Columbia College Chicago, where she is studying magazine journalism and cultural studies. Born in Vermont and currently living in New Hampshire, she plans to return to New England after graduation and work at a print or online magazine. Her journalistic work has been published on Chicago Talks and the Columbia Chronicle, and she has interned at Scapi Magazine and the Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event. Along with working as an editor for Antithesis, she tutors writing on campus and serves as vice president for the college’s chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists. She spends her free time watching (and analyzing) film and books, petting dogs and cooking.

Rylie Smedley

Editor

Rylie Smedley is studying Film and Interdisciplinary Documentary. She is a writing and screenwriting tutor at the Learning Studio. She grew up all across the country, coming from a military family, but is now living between Chicago and Virginia. In her free time, Rylie is one of the captains of the Quidditch team at Columbia and a dedicated member of the Renegades Outdoors Collective. She is thrilled to be a part of Antithesis!

Scott Strom

Managing Editor

Scott Strom is a poet and playwright from Chicago, Illinois and the Managing Editor of Antithesis. His work has been featured in the Columbia Poetry Review and is forthcoming in Ransack Press.

Sierra Stamm

Creative Director

Sierra Stamm is a graphic designer and art director from Roscoe, IL. She graduates from Columbia College Chicago May 2020 with a BA in Graphic Design and a minor in Creative Advertising. Sierra also spends her time as a software applications and HTML/CSS peer tutor. Previously, she interned as a graphic designer at a boutique marketing agency and in house for a technical association. She is currently based in Chicago and loves spending her time exploring the city finding new coffee shops, cat cafes, and donut joints.
